Manu National Park in the jungles of Peru is a beautiful and remote place where you can witness some of the most amazing biodiversity on the planet. Our lodge was a former tapir research facility and took over 5 hours to reach including a 4x4 ride to a river crossing, a taxi ride, and finally 3 hours in a small boat heading upstream as the sun set. Only reaching the lodge as the full orchestra of monkeys, birds, and more had begun their nightly serenade.
