During the COVID pandemic that started in 2020, the Clipper Cabaret shut down, as did the California Clipper. Producer Eva la Feva and myself initially thought we had done our last show. But in 2022 the California Clipper was under new ownership and wanted to bring us back. Upon returning to our familiar home, many things had changed. The coffee and cigar shop, CC Ferns, which had served as our dressing room and backdrop to most of our backstage portraits had been converted to a second bar and party space. It provides a new look but offers less individual vignettes. So I’ve switched to doing more outdoor portraits and am stretching for creativity wherever I can find it.

After the March 2023 performance, the show once again went on hiatus and is done for the foreseeable future.
